The BBC's Nazes Afroz offers a personal view of India's recent elections.

India has undergone huge changes in recent years. A nouveau-rich urban-educated class is very noticeable now, giving India a glittering face to the outside world. But nearly 30% of the population still live below the poverty line and possibly the same number are only marginally better off. These are the people who decide Indian elections. I wanted to gauge their mood.
