We are at the Abdul Hadi Dai school in Kabul's Macrorayon district - a massive Soviet-era housing project of grey apartment blocks.
It is one of the largest polling stations in the city. There are nine polling booths inside this building - made up of converted classrooms.
Two of them have been set aside for women.
