"This is a gentleman who works as a security guard for a newly-constructed community centre and school within one of the poorer and more deprived parts of al-Amarah.

"His wife and young child were living with him in what appeared to be one of the spare rooms of the school.

"Although he was very willing for me to take an image of him, he would not allow his family to be photographed."
