Unfortunately for Ghada her home is in Baghdad's Salhiya apartments.

It used to be a nice, well-to-do residential area near the east bank of the Tigris.

Now it is one of the closest places to the Green Zone - the heavily fortified HQ of the US-led coalition and Iraqi interim government and a frequent target for insurgent attacks.

"It is terrible. There are explosions every day, every night," says Ghada.
