In pictures: Village life
"I feel terribly neglected"

Reg Ashby, 69, born and bred in Crick.

"It used to be a real happy village one time. But the motorway turned it into more of an industrial village, the identity’s changed.

"Being blind is awful. I feel terribly neglected. You’re more or less cut off.

"I can walk from my house to the post office, I even know the canal. But people put obstacles in your way, like vans on the paths or the crossing. It could cost me my life."
