"Crickís been fortunate, itís managed to absorb people into the village that wanted to be villagers.
"But there are elements coming in now who want all the trappings of suburbia and an urban way of life, in a rural idyll, and they donít like farmyard smells and noises.
"I donít resent them, but I think they need to be educated in a country way of life thatís gone on for hundreds of years."
