In pictures: The rat catchers

To reflect the annual achievement, the head of B-ward pest control has his assistant illustrate and record the number of rats killed in each year.

The ledger for 2000 took the assistant Prakash four days to write, he has since been promoted for his efforts.

The page shows the different techniques used to catch the rats: the Night Rat Killers have the largest total by far.
