In pictures: Surviving Sierra Leone
Amputation

Mohammed Kamara, former driver, 53

"My left hand was hacked off in 1998 by a Sierra Leonean army officer. He cut off my arm at the wrist and slapped my face with my own hand.

"The last time I saw him was when I gave evidence at the Truth and Reconciliation hearings.

"I asked him why he had done this to me, but he was unable to answer; he sat in front of me and cried. He and many others like him should face trial by the Special Court. I donít think that I can forgive him."
