Photo journal: Mali rubbish collector

In the latest in our series on people's daily lives, Adama Keita, 14 tells about his work collecting rubbish on the streets of Bamako, capital of Mali, one of the world's poorest countries.

He works for about six hours each day, beginning a little after sunrise, while the day is still relatively cool.

For this he is paid 20,000 CFA francs a month - about $35. He has had this job for five months.
