My name is Mohammed Isema.
I live in Amedidas village in the state of Afar, in the east of Ethiopia.
I have 13 cattle, 40 camels, 75 sheep and goats, so you might call me a rich pastoralist.
We live off our animals’ milk and meat and when we need cash, we sell them.
Our animals are our income but they’re also our way of life.
