"It became horrifically clear from the shape of the impact it was a large jet that hit. It was only two or three days after I'd recovered I looked at the photographs more closely and saw that in quite a few of them there are actually people frozen, sadly, in mid-flight. That was the biggest shock and I felt very guilty about having taken the photographs."
