Photo journal: Life in Rafah, Gaza
Family portrait

"When we were thrown out of our house, we moved to my uncle's. Then his house was demolished, and the only place we could find is the stadium.

"Behind us you can see the curtain that separates the big room we live in into two. Part of the room is a kitchen area, and at night a sleeping area for me, the girls and the young boys.

"In the picture you can see, from the left, my husband Ibrahim, Sawsan, my eldest daughter, and behind her Maji. Then to my right, Jihad and Mohammed. Ziad, our youngest, is in my lap. Wallah is on my left, then Mahmud, and Khaled, standing at the back."
