Photo journal: Karbala pilgrimage
Introduction

About 150 people were killed in Iraq on Tuesday 2 March in attacks on sites holy to Shia Muslims in Baghdad and Karbala. The attacks in Karbala came as hundreds of thousands of Shia pilgrims visited the city to mark the religious festival of Ashoura.
