I share a room with one other Civil Affairs specialist. Accommodation is okay. We've got air conditioning and a ceiling fan and place for our books and clothes.

We're issued with four full DCUs (desert camouflage uniform) before coming out here. I usually wear the same one for a few days before sending it to the laundry.

Sometimes, in the summer the only part of your uniform that was dry from sweat was the bottom of your sleeves. But the weather's changing. We had our first spots of rain today, in fact.
