Ows used to work as a sound man on Shabab TV, which was owned by Saddam's son, Uday.

Once he left the mixer he was operating to go and get a drink and one of Uday's men came by and saw there was no one operating the mixer. So they actually tortured him for that. He was only a trainee at the time.
