Policemen are given their orders by senior officers. They have to sign out before taking their walkie-talkies and firearms.

Captain Ali (centre) and Commissioner Hamid (right) are in charge of the day-to-day running of the station.

We use their rank and first names as a sign of respect.

I hold the rank of commissioner and I work at the reception to process new cases coming in.
