Just north of our home is the old intelligence headquarters in Kadhimiya where many security prisoners were kept.

Because of it, we never went upstream to fish. It was a restricted area. Now it is an American base and Bilal can go fishing where he wants.

The reason there are so few fish in the Tigris now is because Saddam Hussein and his people fished most of them out and kept them in their own private lakes for themselves.
