Recommended Immunisations:
Malaria: Risk varies widely depending on the areas to be visited.
Hepatitis A or immune globulin: Recommended for travel to this region.
Hepatitis B: If you plan to remain more than six months in the region.
Typhoid: If visits to developing countries are planned.
Yellow fever: If travelling outside urban areas.
Other Health Hazards:
Traveller's diarrhoea: Wash hands often, drink only bottled or boiled water, or canned drink, and eat only thoroughly cooked food or fruits.
Malaria, Dengue Fever, filariasis, leishmaniasis: Carried by wildlife in certain areas.
Schistosomiasis: Parasitic infection found in fresh water. Do not swim in fresh water other than well-maintained swimming pools.
Rabies: Do not handle animals.
