| Communities and local government - Andrew Stunnell
Andrew Stunnell has campaigned vigorously on environmental issues and sustainable energy since becoming MP for Hazel Grove in 1997. His private member's bill on energy efficient and crime resistant homes became law in 2004. He also sits on the select committees responsible for modernising MPs' hours and scrutinising Parliament's budget. He was elected Lib Dem chief whip in 2001 and again in 2005 before being appointed communities and local government spokesman in March 2006. Married with five children, he is a former Baptist lay preacher and member of his local Methodist Church.
