A fluent and personable TV performer, Alan Duncan has become one of the most well-known faces on the Tory front bench since taking on the trade and industry brief.
A former president of the Oxford Union, he made his fortune as an oil trader in the 1980s and continues to visit the Middle East regularly to this day.
