| Scotland - David Mundell
The only Scottish Tory MP, Mr Mundell quickly landed a shadow cabinet job after entering Parliament in May 2005. But his political experience goes back further. He was elected as a member of the Scottish Parliament for the south of Scotland in 1999, and re-elected in 2003.
