The Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts, or Glasto to its friends, is the big daddy of British music festivals. It has built its reputation on booking the world's biggest rock bands, but is as likely to play host to craftwork as Kraftwerk. Comedians, actors, circus acts and sculptors all take part in the jamboree.
