Five men have been found guilty of plotting to kill hundreds in an al-Qaeda-linked bomb plot. The international conspiracy included links to the 7 July 2005 London bombings. Two other men on trial at the Old Bailey were found not guilty.
Born Rahman Benouis, in Algeria, his family moved to England when he was five. Many of his friends were white and he had hoped to become a male model. Between 1998 and 2003 he became radicalised and went on a paramilitary training course organised by Khyam in Pakistan. Garcia helped to buy the fertiliser planned for the bomb.
