Camp X-Ray was shut down in April 2002
Camp X-Ray

Detainees were initially held in very basic conditions at a facility known as Camp X-Ray.

Prison clothing consisted of orange boiler suits and flip-flops. Detainees were also given two bath towels - one for washing, one for use as a prayer mat - as well as basic toiletries and copy of the Koran.

There was no running water at the camp and detainees were exposed to the elements by the basic cells.

At the end of April 2002, all prisoners held at Camp X-Ray were transferred to more permanent facilities known as Camp Delta.
