Where and when was it?

Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset, on 25-27 June

Who played?

Sir Paul McCartney was one of the headliners - ending his European tour there. Oasis, Morrissey, Muse and the English National Opera also played.

What was it like?

Wet. Then sunny. Then wet again. Organiser Michael Eavis's luck with the weather ran out - a downpour drenching Glastonbury's second day. But volatile weather did not affect the spirits of fans who enjoyed the safest-ever Glastonbury.

Anything else?

The festival raises hundreds of thousands of pounds for Greenpeace, Water Aid and Oxfam each summer - Eavis travelled to Africa last year to see what the cash donated to Oxfam was doing.
