Coldplay, Massive Attack and Radiohead led the bill at these twin German festivals.
Hurricane takes place in at a racetrack near the small northern town of Schessel, while Southside takes place at Tuttlingen, in the south-west of the country, close to the French and Swiss borders.
Icelandic stars Bjork and Sigur Ros were also on the bill, along with rock act Guano Apes and French reggae/hip-hop performer Patrice.
Supergrass, Starsailor and Moloko appeared across the festivals' two stages.
