European festivals
Bands as diverse as Massive Attack, Metallica, and Blur made a pilgrimage to fields across the continent as Europe's festival season got under way for 2003.
Here is a selection of the biggest shows, from the world-famous Roskilde festival in Denmark to the sun-drenched Benicassim event in Spain.
