Both the incumbent governor and senator who faced the ballot this year in Wisconsin are Democrats and both won re-election.
Senator Herb Kohl was expected to win but Governor Jim Doyle was fighting for his political life in a very close race against Republican Congressman Mark Green.
In the House, the race to fill Mr Green's vacated seat in the 8th was just won by the Democrats.
Incumbent Democrat Herb Kohl beat Republican Robert Lorge. Wisconsin's other Senate seat is held by Democrat Russ Feingold.
