Some things have changed for the better since the end of apartheid.
We now have running water - two families per tap, instead of one tap for a whole neighbourhood like in the old days. We have electricity, and postal delivery.
There are phones now - it's on a prepaid system, but that's all right because who wants to get huge phone bills? So things are happening - but very slowly.
Crime is still a problem, with more than 50% unemployment.
