Photo journal: Life in a new land

When I first arrived, I was devastated. I couldn't believe that life in Europe was like this.

Eight of us share this room. There used to be 16 of us.

The rent is cheap but I have trouble sleeping. I have to wear the ear-plugs I was given to work in a factory.
