I was an international banker and was in the United States but was persuaded to return in 1994. I felt a moral obligation to come back and I now run a distribution business. Things have been difficult. There are barriers for blacks, who are not viewed as capable and competent businessmen.
Big corporations are not interested in helping black empowerment. Opportunities are opening up but there are still big gaps between black and white. The reality is we are not a Rainbow Nation yet. It is a long hard road ahead.
