South Africa: Jobs and money
Bonginkosi J Wili, North-West Province

I am a contractor working at a platinum mine on machines and trains underground. It is 2km down and takes an hour to walk. Only the important guys, mostly whites take the train.

I've worked underground since 1978 and there is more respect between black and white then before. There is no master/servant relationship now. Safety is much better and always discussed.

I earn 1,300 Rand a month ($220). Financially it is a struggle. I do not feel happy about my children's life and their future.
