When the doctor first took the bandage off my eye, I could only see blue.

During the day, I gradually began to see all the other colours again.

I was very excited now. The first thing I wanted to look at was my nieces and nephews, and to see their small children for the first time.

We drove home soon after the bandages were removed and I saw palm trees, motorbikes and cars out of the window.
