Residents see red over learners

5 October 09 09:34 GMT

Families living in a street regularly used for driving lessons have erected signs designed to make instructors take their pupils elsewhere.

The sign, a red L with a line crossed through it, has been erected in Churchward Avenue in Swindon.

One resident from the Wiltshire street said it was not unusual to have three or four learner drivers in the road at any one time.

The Swindon Test Centre has now asked instructors to vary their routes.
