Organisers of an airshow have given the Help for Heroes charity £20,000.

Volunteers and guests from the armed forces rehabilitation centre, Headley Court, visited the Dunsfold Aerodrome, Surrey, to collect the cash.

The Wings and Wheels event in August also raised £20,000 each for Brooklands Museum, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance and Cranleigh Village Hospital Trust.

Mark Elliott from Help for Heroes said: "What Wings and Wheels did is nothing short of inspirational."

He added: "They are doing their bit for real heroes. We can't thank them enough for their kindness, support and commitment to ensuring we can make sure our wounded heroes get the very best."
