Turf cutting marks start of 23m Suffolk college

25 May 10 13:28 GMT

Work on a £23m sixth form college in Suffolk has started, following a turf-cutting ceremony.

Lowestoft sixth form college will be built at the Lowestoft College campus on St Peter's Street.

Future students of the college and county council and college officials earlier took part in a cutting of the turf to mark the start of work.

The new centre is part of a £40m investment by the county council into schools in the Lowestoft area.
