Man faces trial over Twitter airport bomb hoax charge

18 March 10 13:55 GMT

A man who is alleged to have posted a message on micro-blogging website Twitter threatening to blow an airport "sky high" is to face a trial.

Paul Chambers is accused of posting the message in January after snow forced Robin Hood Airport in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, to close.

The 26-year-old, of Byram Court, Balby, Doncaster, was arrested on suspicion of communicating a bomb hoax.

He denies the charge and will appear before Doncaster magistrates on 10 May.
