Drivers are warned of disruption

4 October 08 09:20 GMT

A council in Norfolk has warned motorists to expect serious disruption as major roadworks begin.

Carriageway reconstruction and resurfacing work in Great Yarmouth begins on Saturday and will continue in five phases until 1 November.

The affected area extends from North Quay, along Hall Quay and South Quay to a point south of Yarmouth Way.

Norfolk County Council said disruption to traffic was expected, especially during the first three phases.

During this time the use of Haven Bridge will be restricted.
