A man has appeared in court charged with murdering a mother and her two children at their east London home 28 years ago.
Norma Richards, 27, and her daughter Samantha, nine, were stabbed to death at their Hackney home in 1982. A second daughter, Syretta, seven, was drowned.
Wilbert Dyce, 54, appeared at City of Westminster Magistrates' Court charged with three counts of murder.
Mr Dyce, of east London, was remanded in custody until 27 April.
The dead bodies were found at the family's home on the Kingsgate Estate, in Dalston, in July 1982, where it is thought they had lain for two days.
There were no charges at the time, but last year the case was re-examined and Mr Dyce, from Forest Gate, was arrested in October.
His next hearing will be held at the Old Bailey.
