A man left in a critical condition after being shot in the head at close range in south-east London has died of his injuries.
Daniel Herbert was found by police in Clements Road, Rotherhithe, at about 0200 BST on Monday.
The 27-year-old was taken to hospital where he died on Tuesday. His relatives were by his bedside.
The Metropolitan Police has appealed for any witnesses to come forward with any information.
Mr Herbert had been in the Bermondsey area since 1800 BST, police said.
"What we need now is to piece together how he spent that day and what happened in those crucial hours between talking to his mum and him being shot in Clements Road," said Det Ch Insp Cliff Lyons.
"We know he had been in the company of four or five white men immediately prior to his callous murder, where he was shot at close range in the street."
