High-speed rail "preview" services between Kent and London have been extended further to include weekends, it has been announced.
Southeastern said it would start running hourly return services between Ashford and London St Pancras on Saturday and Sunday from 10 October.
The firm is also introducing a half-hourly weekend shuttle from Ebbsfleet.
High-speed trains are currently running a limited Kent to London service. The full service will begin on 13 December.
Charles Horton, Southeastern managing director, said: "The introduction of the weekend trains is another vital part of extending our preview services.
"Many, who work during the week and have not used the service already, will now be just 37 minutes from central London where they can go shopping, take the family to a West End matinee or go to sporting events and still make the last train back to Ashford International."
The preview service, using Japanese-built Class 395 140mph Javelin trains, began running in June from Ashford to London St Pancras and was extended to Dover last month.
