Red phone boxes for Olympic site

10 August 09 16:22 GMT

The organisers of the 2012 Olympics have asked a restoration expert to revamp a collection of old phone boxes to appear at the London site.

Stu Dockree, from Gloucester, says his firm has been contracted to prepare 25 of the red telephone boxes for the Olympic village.

He told BBC News that millions of visitors to the games would see the classic British icon.

"The K6 model in particular is held in great regard worldwide," he said.
