Plans to build a large windfarm on Bodmin Moor in Cornwall have been condemned at a public meeting attended by more than 150 people.
Community Windpower Ltd wants to erect the 20 turbines, each 413ft (126m) high, at Davidstow.
The company said this would be the best brown field site in the county, but opponents claim the area's wildlife would suffer.
The meeting was called by the parish council to gauge public opinion.
Of the parishioners who attended the meeting on Wednesday night, only one spoke in favour of the development.
If the wind farm goes ahead it would be the largest in Cornwall.
There are currently four wind farms already in operation in the county and a further four proposed.
