A Jersey artist has had his work commissioned by the Post Office for a new set of six stamps.

Jersey Post selected Nick Parlett's songbird images for the third set of its island bird life series.

A spokesperson for Jersey Post said the company wanted to promote the island's beauty and work with a local artist.

The birds featuring on the set of stamps are the dunnock, robin, mistle trush, blackbird, wren, black cap and the song thrush.
