Building work has started on Jersey's new dairy in Trinity.
The new building, close to the Royal Jersey Agricultural and Horticultural Society site, will be more efficient, with new equipment, says Jersey Dairy.
The firm is describing the move as a "new era" in the history of the industry in Jersey.
The dairy has been based at Five Oaks for more than 40 years. Work on the new building is expected to go on for about a year.
The Five Oaks site has been bought by Dandara which plans to build new homes there.
But the current dairy will continue to operate whilst the new facility is being built, to make sure there is no disruption to production.
