Pedestrians will not be allowed to use a swing bridge in an Isle of Man harbour while work to improve running conditions takes place.
The gate on Peel Harbour is scheduled to be modified over the week beginning 3 October to allow smoother running.
The work will mean the harbour can retain more water at low tide and that the gate can operate at all levels of the tide.
It will take place over daytime low water periods to minimise disruption.
Vessels wishing to pass through the flap gate opening should contact Peel Harbour Office or Douglas Harbour Control.
