Man arrested over Lohan break-in

18 September 09 09:23 GMT

A man suspected of breaking into the homes of Hollywood stars Lindsay Lohan and Audrina Patridge has been arrested, Los Angeles police have said.

Officer Rosario Herrera said Nicholas Prugo, 18, was arrested on Thursday on suspicion of felony burglary and being held on $20,000 (£12,235) bail.

Actress Lohan's Hollywood Hills home was broken into last month.

Patridge, star of MTV show The Hills, had her home broken into in February. Both incidents were caught on camera.

Lohan's surveillance footage showed three people, while Patridge's captured a man and a woman.

Mr Herrera said the investigation was ongoing.

It was not clear whether any property belonging to the stars was recovered.

Last month, police said they were searching for a suspect who entered the grounds of Lohan's house through an unlocked gate.

A statement released from Lohan's publicist at the time said many of the actress's personal belongings were taken "without remorse".
