Islamists say more to come after Luxor attack

Radio Monte Carlo said on Tuesday it had received a fax signed by the Jihad Movement-Vanguards of the Islamic Conquest saying Monday's massacre in Luxor in which over 60 people died will not be the last.

"What happened in Luxor yesterday against foreigners who came to visit Egypt despite our continuous and repeated warnings demonstrates without ambiguity the failure of the Egyptian regime's policies," the message was quoted as saying.

"The regime executed the best of the Egyptian youths after farcical trials called military courts," it said.

The radio said that this was the verbatim text of the statement "affirming that the Luxor operation will not be the last".
