Emergency services have dealt with a petrol tanker fire on the A48 at Cross Hands roundabout in Carmarthenshire.
Three fire crews extinguished the blaze and police and paramedics also attended shortly after 0830GMT.
The Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service said the driver, who was not injured, had managed to pull into a lay-by near the roundabout.
A spokeswoman said an east bound lane on the dual carriageway was closed but had re-opened by mid-morning.
Fire crews from Tumble, Carmarthen and Ammanford attended.
They prevented the fire spreading from the cab to the body of the tanker.
Specialist recovery equipment was used to remove the damaged vehicle.
