A man has been rescued from the roof of a building in Tenby during a fire that also caused a number of shops to close.
Crews from Haverfordwest and Pembroke Dock helped colleagues from the seaside resort's fire station tackle the blaze in flats above a Woolworths store.
The alarm was raised around 1438 GMT after the man, in his early 20s, managed to escape on to the roof.
He was taken to hospital suffering with smoke inhalation and neighbouring shops Shoe Zone and Julian Graves also shut.
A spokesperson for the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service said the cause of the blaze was not known.
"One person managed to escape to the roof of the building. The casualty is believed to be suffering from smoke inhalation."
Dyfed-Powys Police said three stores were closed as a result of the fire.
